We had the chance to take our three youngest daughters to Mercatello in March 2013 for two weeks – using the Casa as our home base and launching various trips to Rome, Pisa, Florence and elsewhere.
We could not be happier with the investment. The apartments are comfortable and very well appointed and, with a 20 metre walk to Umberto’s restaurant or a step next door to Jo’s Pizzeria, everything you need is literally a few paces away.
Visiting the neighbouring towns and villages is just a short, scenic drive away through the lush Umbria region.

“I can’t wait until our next trip to Mercatello!”
Peter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay last October in the San Martino apartment. The apartment is super comfortable and has all the modern facilities that make a longer stay away from home that much nicer.
The people that live in this medieval 800 year-old village are very welcoming and inclusive – taking advantage of their advice on places to visit and how to get around like a local is always an excellent idea.
Peter and I love exploring the lesser known Marche region and feel really fortunate to have the opportunity to experience a non-commercial, less tourist-driven Italy only an hour from Tuscany.

Our family feels very fortunate to have obtained a fractional ownership in the Casa Mercatello apartments in beautiful Mercatello.
The apartments are newly designed and fitted out tastefully and comfortably, with all expected heating, cooking and washing appliances installed. The apartment is warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer.
The town of Mercatello is fabulous - historic, unspoilt and quaint, and yet central enough to be a great base for travelling around Italy. The locals are friendly, and although little English is spoken, it’s relatively easy to communicate. We look forward to spending much time in our beautiful apartment for years to come.
